Pakistan and Climate Change
Pakistan, which has been listed as the 7th most vulnerable country affected by climate change (CC), is now seriously tackling the vagaries of weather, both at the official as well as non-official level. Pakistan’s extreme vulnerability from Climate Change is understandable owing to its geographic, demographic, and diverse climatic conditions. Of particular concern are the climate change threats to water, energy, and food security due to the inherent arid climate coupled with the high degree of reliance on water from glacial snowmelt.
